The latest Youtube TV updates. YouTube TV recently announced a major update to its streaming service for subscribers.
It is based on its mission to provide an affordable and easy-to-use television streaming experience by expanding its content library and introducing new features designed to give viewers maximum control over their viewing experience.
The most notable changes made to the platform include the incorporation of more than 70 new premium channels, including ESPN, Disney, AMC, FX Networks and Turner Classic Movies.
This expansion will bring more content to users who enjoy current offers such as FOX News and NBC Sports.

Additionally, there are new functions added: 3 simultaneous transmissions per account and unlimited DVR storage space on the cloud.
The updated Live Guide now includes a row of selected recommendations at the top, a condensed grid that shows more channels and programming on the screen and a simpler general design.
Users also get more information about each program live or film from the new guide.
The condensed grid was created mainly so that viewers could move less and receive information more quickly, wrote Esther Ahn, design director of YouTube TV and Primetime Channels.
YouTube TV wanted to focus on updating its Live Guide and Library, as these are the most used pages by viewers, according to the company.
For both functions, YouTube has designed new side panels with direct access, such as “Add to the library”. We are also working on a “Establish record” department.
These changes aim to give YouTube users more control over how they explore and view content.
“Decision fatigue is real when you turn on your television with more applications and channels than ever before. Viewers are looking for easier ways to find the most relevant content for them, and they’re jumping into a game live or seeing what’s trending right now,” wrote Ahn.
However, in general, these are minor design adjustments and changes, making the product easier to use and a competitive advantage when it comes to attracting new cable cutters to the YouTube TV service over rivals such as Hulu with Live TV o Sling TV.
The company said that there were more changes along the way, including those that provided more flexibility and interactivity during live playback and facilitated switching between user profiles, but did not offer a date on when these functions were launched.
Ahn also states that it is easier to grab the content of the new guide, but it requires fewer steps.

Furthermore, the updated Library now allows users to manage their content better thanks to improved filters and organizational tools.
YouTube TV has eliminated side navigation and instead has a row of filters for more specific content categories, like daily shows.
There is also a new shelf “Ponte al dia con tus favorites”, so that users can easily find the content they enjoy most.
Ah, I noticed that users with large libraries were frustrated with how difficult it was to find a title they wanted to see.
“My members have created their libraries over time, but it is possible that the programs those who have been interested for several years are not relevant to them”, says Ahn.
“The more your libraries grow, the less usable they become due to the lack of tools to organize your programs, films and sports”.
